Establishment Rues The Day By Bill Miller  A question:  How does one defeat an entitlement mentality with a entitlement candidate? Answer:  You can’t. The harder the Republican establishment pushes Mitt Romney, the greater distaste he leaves in the mouths of the grass roots. This is about the Republican establishment more then it is about Romney. It is about how they fought against us, remember Sharon Angle? How about the congressional elections in 2010? The machine tried to force their candidates on us at every step. What about the debt ceiling? How about the goings on in Washington every day and every betrayal of principles by the Progressive Republicans? Every Progressive from Chris Christie to John McCain is backing on Romney, yes, the same cast of characters we have to fight every day. The same old, "We held the line against the Dems, crowd." I say, "How about rolling back the Great Society for a change." Michelle Bachmann had the bad luck to have Rick Perry enter the race after she won the straw poll, that cost her chance. Plus, God Bless her soul, she just couldn’t seem to transform herself from a Congresswomen from Minnesota to a "national stage" type of leader. It wasn’t her time. Perry flubbed it during the debates;  Romney and the establishment took it to him. Then it was Herman Cain’s turn. Again, Romney and the establishment took it to Cain. Then it was Gingrich, same pattern. Once again Romney and the establishment hit the people’s choice, only this time they were aided in their endeavor by Ron Paul and Rick Perry. News for you’ll, we have always viewed Michelle Bachmann and Rick Santorum as the "real" conservatives in the race. 　 Gingrich survived last night, and he is angry at the establishment and Mitt Romney. He will attack Romney now relentlessly. Gingrich will not attack Santorum. Perry if he stays in will also attack Romney. Bachmann’s votes will go to Santorum. Eventually so will Perry’s. Then Gingrich’s. Romney will have to continue his attacks on Gingrich if he turns on Santorum, he will be hit from all the remaining candidates; don’t forget Ron Paul. Plus, that could give Gingrich a chance to remain in the process. Gingrich will launch a scorched Earth policy against Romney. I predict that Santorum will immediately get another rise in the polls as Bachmann’s supporters turn to him.  An increasing desperate establishment will do everything it can to stop the Tea Party, evangelicals and real conservatives, but they will fail. Eventually all 75% of the anti-establishment vote will gel around Santorum:  Romney is finished. Repeat, it is too late to reach out to the base.  We do not want Romney and/or the Karl Rove wing of the party. This is a year for a real conservative, why should I hold my nose again? Why should you? Forget the conventional wisdom, where does it come from? The Washington insiders?  The Washington insiders are liars.  Everything the government, everything the party establishment says, is a lie. They are part and parcel of the problems, they, along with their Progressive Democratic allies. Remember George W Bush?   He gave conservatism a bad name. Bush and Rove are directly responsible for Obama. The Tea Party is a reaction to Bush as much as Obama. The Republican machine just doesn’t get it! Once upon a time, I voted for Ronald Reagan, and I my held my head high! It was one of those precious proud moments in my life. Ever since then I have been forced to hold my nose and vote for president. 　 Vote for a conservative, hold your head high.
