Charles Earl

"Liberty's Lesson"

A passion for Liberty defines Charlie Earl. Reared on an Ohio farm, he received a B.A. from the College of Wooster, an M.A. from Bowling Green State University, and additional graduate work at U.Va. plus doctoral studies at Bowling Green.

A former radio and television broadcaster, manager and owner, Charlie has also taught Mass Communication at the university level. He served as Republican state representative in Ohio in the early ‘80’s, and became frustrated with the erosion of our freedom and the growth of government. He ran for Ohio Secretary of State as
a Libertarian in the 2010 election cycle. 

He, his wife, Pat and Golden Retriever, Frosty, live on a small farm in Northwest Ohio near their two children, their spouses and their three grandchildren.

Paul is currently employed in CT as a full-time high-school and GED public school teacher, married 17 years, son of a WW II veteran and world class oil painter- "my greatest friend and dad" who passed away in 2008.

He was an Army Ordnance Officer, 6 years: positions: Track and Wheel Supply and Maintenance CO/XO; TRADOC Project Officer/Editor Evaluation Branch; Asst. Supply Officer (S-4) of a Training (multiple MOSs) Battalion.  He also spent 16 years as a APICS Production Controller in domestic manufacturing firms.

Engaging Hobbies: Gouache painting, Outdoor hiking, poetry, US and World historian devotee.

Born and living in the coal region of Pennsylvania just above Reading and Pottsville, PA, I started writing seriously in 1991 with an underground music fanzine until 2007. I also wrote for various underground websites and publications such as "Space Junkies" and "Ballbuster Hard Music Journal" as well and had a feature in "Metal Mania" (a.k.a "Metal Maniacs" in the 80's) in 2000 (October ish with King Diamond). My job was reviewing cassette demos, LP's and eventually CD's and DVD's when technology changed (showing my age!).

I've interviewed some famous people over the years (Zakk Wylde, Devin Townsend, Yngwie Malmsteen, James LaBrie, Blackie Lawless, Jon Oliva, Chris Caffery and Alex Skolnick of Savatage and Trans-Siberian Orchestra and many more; too many to rattle off). I always had a thing for politics and since I was a Reagan-ite, I feel there was not a President such as him since then and both parties are failing people and failing America.

I dropped the music writing and concentrated on politics and the "common sense" the media won't cover or write about. I like to be edgy, in-your-face, controversial and like to call it for how I see it, I do not hold back! It's all passion, honesty and goodwill and I know a lot out there feel the same way. I currently freelance for myself and drop pieces here and there when needed and do a periodical of published blogs called, "The Bloggergeist". Copies of these are in newsletter format and can be obtained by just sending an email (contact Admin for addy).

As a Permanent Commentator, Wayne offers yet another distinct writing style. He will push the envelope and set you thinking.

I am Israel Kremen -

I was born and raised in Leningrad (St. Petersburg), Russia, in 1949, where I graduated from the Music School for Children and Music College as a pianist, and also - the Rimski-Korsakov Music Conservatory (the highest level of education in Russia) as a composer and teacher of music theory in 1972.

Several compositions published/performed... Started to feel the coming of the deadend of the USSR after 20-year period of stagnation.

I immigrated to the USA with my wife and mother-in-law, survivor of 900-day siege of Leningrad during the WWII. In 1982 I had the first recital of my chamber music in Milwaukee, WI.  "ORION" Records released the record of my music in 1984.  I received a Doctorate in Music Composition from the School of Music at the University of Michigan, in Ann Arbor, in 1989.

My score of "Peace Symphony" was among the finalists in 1990 NY Score Competition. I have also worked as an organist in different Churches and Synagogues; Now I am teaching piano, composition, music theory/history, and playing piano for ballet classes at the City Music Center (School of Music/Duquesne University) and Civic Light Opera Musical Theater Academy in Pittsburgh, PA.  Most of my compositions were performed in the USA.  In 2009, there was a World Premiere performance of my "Kaleidoscope of 25 Preludes and Fugues for Piano & Humankind" in Pittsburgh.  My students have been accepted into the best Music Universities in the USA.

I have also worked as a teacher of Russian language in the Defense Language Institute in Moneterey, CA, where I was a co-founder (with my wife, the choir conductor) of the students-teachers choir "Linguist".  In Pittsburgh, PA, I worked at the Children and Youth Services, Dept. of Aging...and now I am an Income Maintenance Case Worker at the Dept. of Public Welfare in the Refugee Unit.

Diane Rufino is a scientist and an attorney. She was born and raised in New Jersey and spent most of her life there. She got her B.S. from the University of Pennsylvania in Biochemistry, her M.S. in Pathology from Columbia University, and her law degree from Seton Hall University. Judge Andrew Napolitano, former NJ Superior Court judge and current FOX News Senior Legal Analyst, was her Constitutional Law professor. Diane knows DNA and she knows the Constitution, although she doesn't profess to be an expert on either. She is a leadership member of the Eastern NC Tea Party and a member of Founders Truth. She is proud to stand up for the values and principles that our Founders established in our founding documents. She stands for conservative and Christian values and believes what Patrick Henry told us: "The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people; It is an instrument for the people to restrain the government – lest it comes to dominate our lives and interests.”

Bill was born in Somerville, New Jersey, September, 1961. As he states in the bio section of his book, The Tea Party Papers: A Collection of Essays to the Tea Party Patriots , "After some ruff and costly scraps during my youth, I decided to find a more balanced life; much of which has concerned prayer and various meditation techniques. Always interested in politics as well as science and history, I have attempted to bring these interests together in this book, with my newest interest, the Tea Party movement. Making no pretense to being a 'real' writer, I have worked with my hands my whole life and enjoyed it, but maybe someone will find some use for the ideas I put forth here."

Susan_PSC.pngI am basically a conservative, Independent, news junkie.  I love to know what is going on around me.  But it wasn’t always this way- I used to blithely go about my day spouting über-liberal opinions around San Francisco, CA without having watched a single day of news in the entirety my 25 years of life.  I was a single issue voter (abortion rights) that rejected all conservative thought because of it.  I have always been very religious (Christian), but felt the need to be a ‘cool’, ‘informed’ and ‘intelligent’ Christian to my liberal friends.  I abhorred all those ‘ignorant, red necked, embarrassing’ people that claimed to be Christians.  I was absolutely shocked at the Republican landslide in 1994- I actually felt America had been overtaken by ignorant farmers! 

On 9/11, I discovered the depths of my ignorance and arrogance.  I was completely lost in the ensuing debate- why Afghanistan?  Who was Al Qaeda?  Bin Laden?  Why were the people in Muslim countries cheering so insanely as they watched the towers burn and fall?  All I knew was that I was an American.  I loved my country and was absolutely furious.  I was ready for war- hell; I was ready to sign up for the Army.  But I hated that I was so confused.  I was suddenly thirsty for real facts and information.  On 9/12, I bought books and began to scour news archives online.  I also watched CNN & Fox News non-stop for several years. 

The result is that I am now a staunch conservative.  I marvel at my earlier arrogance and ignorance, but am glad I experienced it.  Now I understand how the youth blindly follows Obama.  I also see beneath the thinly supported outbursts of most liberals.  I, too, used to just call people ‘ignorant’, ‘racist’, and acted as if the conservative scum before me was simply beneath my attention- I did this as I flounced off with my middle finger in the air behind me.  What no one saw was my immense relief to be away from that conservative.  I knew I had no actual proof for my opinion- I also had not understood the news reference he had used for his argument (as I never watched the news).  I simply ‘knew’ I was right and he was wrong.  Period.  Oh, I laugh when I see liberals do this now!  I KNOW why they flounce away.  Why they need to just call names, degrade conservatives, and especially, why they always LEAVE the argument.  They know they will look like idiots if they stay.  It is against that stubborn, chosen ignorance that I fight.

A Message from the Founder of Project Shining City

After seeing the positive feedback and comments, I have come to realize it is more than just sitting down and typing... pasting... and blogging, it is a passion!

The passion is my love for this country.  The passion is to keep you informed.  The passion is to educate!

Folks!  We are going down the wrong road for the wrong reasons.  This current government will have you believe everything will be ok, they will hand out warm milk and cookies and fuzzy blankets. You will go to sleep not having to worry... because big brother is there.  But the scam is this...  while you are sleeping, they are pulling yet another of your constitutional rights out from under you!  But you don't feel the tug because of the warm milk and cookies and the fuzzy blankets they gave to you.  WAKE UP!

It's not about Republican or Democrat, Liberal or Conservative.  It's about the "Glenn Beck" middle!  It's about what form of government you want when you finally do wake up.  

If we go to far to the left, we are a total government society... like the Argentina article in my home page... or like present day Cuba...  or what Venezuela will soon be like because the people there are to busy sleeping on the fuzzy blankets and sipping warm milk with cookies! 

If we go to far to the right, you have no government.  Take a look a Somalia today... remember Yugoslavia after the breakup?

The good news is... we have a constitution which outlines how our government should be run from the middle.  This is a federalist system, where power is shared among the many levels of local, state, and federal government, with more power given to the states and local levels for obvious reasons.  The power is derived from the people!  The power is lent to the leaders we elect.  It's not theirs!  It's ours!  Our power comes from God and the Judeo-Christian values and principles which we were given.  That's all there is to it!

The bad news?  We have a Congress and Executive branch who believe they can usurp this most precious of documents!  It's time to send them their pink slips folks.  It's time to let the greedy mega-corporations, who have for so long bought their way into government, fend for themselves in a true capitalist venue.

My fellow Americans... what I see as the roots of the problems which we face today, have actually been with us for some time. Though the Government is at the heart of Project Shining City's mandate for reform, our morals, values, and principles, are an integral part of the problem too.  It is a difficult concept for one to understand, especially if you are of the overly liberal mindset, so let's begin with a brief synopsis of what is going on.  Pages are easy to navigate around.  Jeff Bruzzo
